Hi!
- Where is the ‘Default selection’ command?
- Why can’t I create a Constrained Block Envelope?

Hi!
hi
i’m not sure to explain properly in english but i’ll try
you need to use a familly file to work with block enveloppe.
you use a standard block in your generic file, and constrained block in the file in which you want to use the component.
i dont know why the default selection command doesn’t appear in your version (i’m using a 7.16 version with the -a startup argument and it appear on mine) you might have a personalized menu that hides it.

maybe you need to generate a family and use the block as a pilot first( entirely speculative)

to create a constrained block enveloppe you need to already have some shapes/planes/ reference frame in your assembly
i use it mostly to force a block the way i want if it doesn’t generate properly
on the example below i want the block to generate past the groove of the profile so i have t o select the back and front plane of the block to generate properly. it’s not something i would usually do since all my component are created using only the front plane of the block

nice timberwolf PfP by the way
Thank you so much! I think I’ve got it.
